Our Magyar Agar puppies are 9 weeks old and most of them will leave our house in a week. I’m really happy and feeling lucky – the mating, the pregnancy, the birth were uncomplicated, Remy, the mum and all 9 babies are healthly. I will never forget it and I would like to publish the fact, that this litter could not have been without my friends.
So I would like to say a very, very big THANK YOU to all my friends for their support, help, encouragement, suggestions and criticism.
“I get by with a little help from my friends,
I get high with a little help from my friends,
I gonna to try with a little help from my friends.”
Our babies are 4 weeks old now. You can find the first “stacked” photos in the gallery. All males are reserved, but some females are still looking for a new home.
I think Éles’ head currently is the very best of all the females. She isn’t a little baby, she had 500 gram on her birthday and her weight on the 8. day was 780 gram.
“Éles” means in hungarian “Sharp”. I want to keep myself a female and Eles is one of the favorites.
Esti Mese is an other deep red colored baby girl with elegant black gloves. Her name “Esti Mese” mean in hungarian “Evening Tale” or “Bedtime Story”. “Tale” is similar to “Fable” (her mother’s name is “Fabula” = “Fable”).
Esti Mese is a big Magyar Agar female puppy, she had 800 gram on the 8. day of his life (on the day of his birth he 500 gram).
Estély is a very nice Magyar Agar puppy, elegant and aristocratic, like her name: “Estély” means in hungarian “Soiree” or “Evening party”.
Her starting weight was only 450 gram but on the 8. day she whad 750. Estély has an attractive sand-black brindle color with black glowes, mask and ears.
Our little boy Elfogod started with only 450 gram, but he reached 740 gram on the 8. day. Elfogod has the deepest red color and the very best head shape of the males.
“Elfogod” means in hungarian “You get it” or “You keep it” – a great name for a hunter, isn’t it? The most successful Magyar Agar from our Kennel is Ch. Cserihegyi Befogod (he is Hungarian Champion, Vet. European and Club Champion, won with 9 years Best of Group in Austria), and Elfogod is the “E-version” of his name. I hope Elfogod will have a great show career, too.
“Ejha” is a hungarian interjection, it express recognition and wonder, so I think, a good translation would be the expression “Wow!” Her name was suggested by her owner – so yes, she already has a new (future) home.
This little Magyar Agar female puppy has the deepest red color with black brindles and mask. She is very agile and I think, she shows a lot of coursing and racing potential. Ejha started with a weight of 550 gram, at the 8. day she had 810 gram.
Ejha is iving in Hungary, she have a sporty new home and a nice fox terrier brother.
Update: Ejha moved to her new home and her own blog is here to find: ejha.cserihegyi.com
“Érdem” means in hungarian “Merit” or “Honor”. This Magyar Agar baby boy shows me show and coursing potentcial so I hope, that he will give our kennel glory.
Érdem is a big male puppy, too, like his brother Elmés. He had a weight of 500 gram on his birthday and he now brings up 800 gram on the 8. day. He is the only one from our nine puppies, who no white vest on the breast.
Érdem is living in Hungary, he is together with his father Kende and his family.
“Emlék” means in hungarian “Remembrance” or “Memory”.
Fagyöngy, a sister of my Remy (who is the mother of this Magyar Agar litter), passed away on the 9. September 2009 after undergoing surgery to fix an injury she sustained while racing on the FCI European Championship in Germany. I liked Fagyöngy very much, she was a sweetheart and a great fighter on the racing track. I would like to commemorate her, so I gave our baby this name.
Emlék is a very nice female Magyar Agar puppy with interesting pattern on her face. She started with 500 gram and on the 8. day she had 800 gram so Emlék is a big girl.
I like Robin Hobb’s fantasy books. King Shrewd is a great character of The Farseer Trilogy and his name “Shrewd” was translated into hungarian as “Elmés”. Currently he is my favourite male pup.
Our male Magyar Agar puppy, Elmés is a big baby, he had 810 gram on the 8. day of his life (on the day of his birth he 500 gram). His color is an elegant fawn with black brindles and black mask. He has got a wide white vest.
Remy has got this spring her oval track racing btw lure coursing licences!
Remy, running a license run on the oval track
She has won a second place and a 4th place on her first and second oval track races from 8 Magyar Agar females and a 6th place on her very first lura coursing from 11 magyar Agars!
King (sire): coursing: 6. place on the coursing european championship, 2 x CACL, 2 Res.CACL. King ist the cousine of Ch. Bitter-Lemon Baka – he is one of the successfullest Magyar Agars all time (Hungarian and International Champion, more times European and World Champion, etc.)
Cicababa (dam): Hungarian Champion, Hungarian Junior-, Show- and Grand Champion, World Champion, Amsterdam Winner, Veteran European & Club Champion, Beauty & Power Winner, Winner of the Racing Ranking List 2003.
We visited Kende, the future father of our next Magyar Agar litter father yesterday. He is “in real life” beautiful just like that on the photos. He is 11 in years old and has superb condition. Kende represents an old bloodline, in which the hunting (hare coursing) abilities are more important. The Agars and my daughters found many joys in the snow. I’m pretty sure that we hav find the best partner to our Remy. You can learn more about both parents here .
We are planning the first rendezvous of the parents for next monday, the 19. january. I hope that our Remy will like the male – and that the future sire of our next Magyar Agar litter is live so beautyful one than on the photos.
